BURA is a wine bar and shop in the making, bringing Croatian wines to the heart of Amersfoort. Come to discover a grape you haven’t tried, share a board, and find a bottle you’ll want to take home.

Our focus is on indigenous varieties, thoughtful producers and the places behind the wines. From Istria to Dalmatia, there is plenty to explore.

The wind behind the name

BURA takes its name from the Adriatic wind, imagined here as sweeping away bad energy and bringing a fresh, positive spirit. At the table, we embrace fjaka—the Dalmatian art of slowing down, feeling content and letting life wait a little.

With Croatian roots and a love of Istrian culture, founder Ivona is creating a place to share that connection through wine, food and the easy pleasure of gathering around a table.
